Vaibhav further makes it to the headlines as he is the youngest cricketer who has enrolled himself in the IPL 2025 auction when he was just 13 years old. His association speaks for his shooting stars in Indian cricket after several fantastic achievements like making his Ranji debut at 12 and scoring the fastest century in youth test cricket at 13. This registration has sparked the spotlight of cricketing aficionados, who believe Suryavanshi has a bright future ahead in professional cricket.
Undeniably a rising young star from India in the cricketing fraternity who at just 13 years of age showcases commendable skills. Born on March 27, 2011, in the village of Tajipur, Samastipur, Bihar, he soon became one of the most talked-about cricketers to come out of that region. Vaibhav left-handed and quite aggressive – or shall we say, fearless, always seeking to attack the bowling and well compared with cricket’s big guns like the likes of Prithvi Shaw.
Vaibhav has made an already great impact in the cricketing world despite his young age. In 2024, he is the youngest in recent times to make his debut in Ranji Trophy for Bihar at a mere age of 12 years and 284 days old. He even broke the record set by legends like Sachin Tendulkar for his age on debut. Vaibhav commenced his cricketing career at the age of 9. Since he did not have much of resources in his hometown, it was his father Sanjeev Suryavanshi who initiated grooming him. The role played by his father is the primary reason why Vaibhav has risen to prominence; he could play in local tournaments and really make a mark in age-group cricket.

The performance of Vaibhav in the youth cricket tournaments has been excellent. He became the second fastest Indian to score a century in an Under-19 Test, scoring 393 runs nearly at an average of 80 while with the Vinoo Mankad Trophy. He later represented India B in the Under-19 Quadrangular series. The powerful drives have remained the hallmark of his batting, and, once again, he has showcased an ability to dominate both fast and spin bowling.
5 feet 1 inch short in stature, Vaibhav may still have some growing to do, but cricketing wise, he’s already done enough to stand above his peers. These strong performances in national youth tournaments have just cemented him as one of the brightest hopes.
Vaibhav is also active on social media. But his biggest ambition is to play for the Indian national cricket team. And he’s working quite hard towards realizing that dream. In the near future, with his performance on the pitch, he looks promising.
