Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have carefully designed their squad for the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) season, building upon the great performance in 2024 when they finished as runners-up. The team has carefully retained key players and made smart acquisitions during the IPL 2025 auction to strengthen their lineup.
Pat Cummins continues as the captain of the team and will lead the Australian pacer. The batting department is further strengthened with the addition of wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan, who signed up for SRH for ₹11.25 crore.
Alongside him, Travis Head adds depth to the batting order as a top-order batter. Heinrich Klaasen, another wicketkeeper-batter, stabilizes the middle order and provides versatility. Abhinav Manohar and Aniket Verma are two right-handed batters who can add further options to the batting order. Sachin Baby is a proper left-hander who also has significant experience and constancy in batting.

The all-rounder category is also well represented by Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Kamindu Mendis. Abhishek Sharma is a left-handed batter and slow left-arm orthodox bowler, who has continued to be a good asset. Nitish Kumar Reddy is a right-handed batter and right-arm medium-fast bowler, adding balance to the team. Kamindu Mendis is a left-handed batter and right-arm off-break bowler, adding versatility and depth to the all-rounder position.
The bowling line-up is strong with a combination of experienced pacers Mohammed Shami and Harshal Patel. Shami, right-arm fast bowler and Patel, right-arm medium-fast bowler are supposed to spearhead the pace line-up. Rahul Chahar, right-arm leg-break bowler provides variations in the spin line-up. Adam Zampa, Australian leg-spinner, gives extra variation to the spin department. Simarjeet Singh is a right-arm medium-fast bowler, and Eshan Malinga is a right-arm fast-medium bowler.
He provides depth to the pace attack. Brydon Carse is a right-arm fast bowler, and Jaydev Unadkat is a left-arm medium-fast bowler. He further strengthens the bowling options. Zeeshan Ansari is a right-arm leg-break bowler. He adds depth to the spin department.
