The Pretoria Capitals have put together a strong squad for the 2025 SA20 season, bringing together experience with international internationals and young blood from local talent. With captain Wayne Parnell and coach Graham Ford at the helm, they look to better their performances of the past season and do great things this time around.
They have a combination of youth and experience. Rilee Rossouw will look to take care of the batting order by using his aggressive playing style, alongside Rahmanullah Gurbaz of Afghanistan as the wicketkeeper-batter and the English youngster Will Smeed. Evin Lewis, one of the more dangerous West Indian batsmen, joins the mix and adds strength at the top of the order, whereas Marques Ackerman, South African, and Kyle Verreynne of South Africa would add solidity at the middle-order level as wicket-keepers. Steve Stolk, a young Pretoria bat, can continue. Keagan Lion-Cachet, a rookie, is another potential as well.

This will be further complimented by all-rounder James Neesham, of New Zealand, who plays explosive batting along with handy medium-fast bowling. Further balance to the team will come from Will Jacks, English all-rounder, and Senuran Muthusamy, South African left-arm orthodox spinner. Also, Tiaan van Vuuren has been a pretty promising all-rounder who adds depth to the squad.
There is a pace bowling attack that was strong for Capitals. It features Anrich Nortje-a South African pacer who boasts of speed and aggression at the top of their attack. In addition, a more experienced left arm medium-fast bowling option is found in Wayne Parnell, while Migael Pretorius is a right-arm fast medium bowler with Daryn Dupavillon being a right arm pacer. This team also contains Eathan Bosch, another right arm pacer. The spin department is headed by Will Jacks, who provides off-spin, and Senuran Muthusamy, a left-arm orthodox spinner.
The wildcard pick, Liam Livingstone, adds an extra dimension to the team. He is a powerful English batter and handy bowler. His ability to turn games with both bat and ball makes him a valuable asset.
